**The Legal & Regulatory Control Operations (L&RCO) Product Group enables regulatory compliance via consistent and transparent technology solutions for our customers and employees as they experience or service challenging life, legal or regulatory events or needs.**
As a Senior Manager of Software Engineering at JPMorganChase within the Consumer & Community Banking Legal & Regulatory Controls Operations Team, you serve in a leadership role by providing technical coaching and advisory for multiple technical teams, as well as anticipate the needs and potential dependencies of other functions within the firm.

As an expert in your field, your insights influence budget and technical considerations to advance operational efficiencies and functionalities.

**Job responsibilities**

+ Provide overall direction, oversight, and coaching for a team of entry-level to mid-level software engineers that work on basic to moderately complex tasks
+ Be accountable for decisions that influence teams' resources, budget, tactical operations, and the execution and implementation of processes and procedures
+ Ensures successful collaboration across teams and stakeholders
+ Identifies and mitigates issues to execute a book of work while escalating issues as necessary
+ Provides input to leadership regarding budget, approach, and technical considerations to improve operational efficiencies and functionality for the team
+ Creates a culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect for team members and prioritizes diverse representationProvides guidance to immediate team of software engineers on daily tasks and activities
+ Anticipates dependencies with other teams to deliver products and applications in line with business requirements
+ Manages stakeholder relationships and the team's work in accordance with compliance standards, service level agreements, and business requirements
+ Creates a culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect for the team members and prioritizes diverse representation
+ Manages 7 Software Engineers from entry to very experienced Lead levels in an Agile environment
+ Hands on coding utilizing Java Full Stack, Java Frameworks, JavaScript (React, Angular), Python, AWS and Oracle

**Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills**

+ Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience .

In addition, 2 + years of experience leading technologists to manage and solve complex technical items within your domain of expertise
+ Experience leading teams of technologists
+ Ability to guide and coach teams on approach to achieve goals aligned against a set of strategic initiatives
+ Experience with hiring, developing, and recognizing talent
+ Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
+ Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
+ Practical cloud native experience
+ Experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field and expertise in technology disciplines
+ Experience in Java Full Stack, Java Frameworks, JavaScript (React, Angular) and Python
+ Experience with Cloud based Technologies (AWS) and Relational Databases (Oracle)
+ Strong mentoring experience

**Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills**

+ Experience working at code level
+ Proven success in managing Software Engineering team(s) in a very large and complex environment
